Welcome to Garageland Promotions!

SATURDAY the 10th of JULY 2021

Garageland returns to The Shacklewell Arms, restrictions permitting, with our 10th Anniversary Party all-dayer and LP release for The Ten O Sevens (on 10.07!!) + special guests. This is a ticketed event and advance tickets are available via DICE with this link:

You´re eyes don´t cheat, it´s Bandcamp bloody digital only and that´s not the band´s fault but rather a shame for every record label that is because this record should pressed straight onto vinyl and pryed out of the TEN O SEVENS´ hands within´ 24 hours time. Yes, I know that the band isn´t really active anymore, that a record needs promotion via live gigs and bullshit but listening to those songs on here I can only say to stick that yadda yadda yadda up to the dark side of your moon dear label owner. Go get the fuck out of your comfort zone and release that thing, at least in a small limited run for nerds like me and you who´s reading this.
That said, let´s get down to the points of this cannonade from the burning streets of London having spraypainted “Hate & War” all over the back of it´s rampaged leather jacket while as it´s worn out creepers are boppin´ up and down to the sound of “Staring At The Rudeboys” sending out 101 keys to your heart before handing you the Kleenex to dry your tears of joy.
Within´the timespan of their existence the TEN O SEVENS only released two singles on No Front Teeth Records, the Search Party 7" and the Split 7" with THE HATEFUL, both packed with straight out sweat and beer soaked rippers driven by the same passion and forceful energy that THE CLASH spit into Britain´s face with their debut LP.
That was then, this is now, the band members went on to form the RICKY C QUARTET and the DYING SHAMES extending their style by adding up Pub Rock with the Whips & Furs of the VIBRATORS and a heavy dose of OZ Punk ala THE SAINTS, RADIO BIRDMAN, FUN THINGS on the one hand and Sixties Garage Beat founded on the Decca Years basis of the ROLLING STONES enhanced with a heavy dose of KINKS and SMALL FACES fuzzed out on the SONICS on the other hand.
Then, some days ago, I stumbled upon the TEN O SEVENS Facebook Page again by accident and found that magical link leading me to eleven songs of British Punkrock Grandeur. Whatever it may be that you ask for when thinking about your love affair to Punk in the U.K., the TEN O SEVENS will have the answer.
They´ve got that special nasty tongue in cheek, that ruthless snarl, they are catching up with both THE CLASH and RUTS at the peak of their craft, reciting the finest moments of Strummer and his mates right up to “London Calling” with occasional slugs of the “Combat Rock” as well plus digging deep in the 101ers legacy with their guitars taking extra turns to the Pub Rock grassroots of DR. FEELGOOD and EDDIE & THE HOTRODS.
They are “In A Rut” with Malcolm Owen reaching the ultimate melting point with “This Is Carnage”, one incredible monster mash of Punk and Reggae that couldn´t have been done any better by any of the aforementioned bands and also absolutely is on eye level with “Johnny Was” by the STIFF LITTLE FINGERS. Did I already mention that it´s all Ready Steady Go here too with 100 Punks tearing the youth club down shouting for more ? Someone get this record out now, it´s a tresure chest that needs to be blasted full force through the speakers of a record player, one that the neighbours should be annoyed with until calling the police.”

Atomic Suplex
"There is no way to accurately describe Atomic Suplex, though many have tried: rock and roll mayhem... loud, raucous, trashy, punky, rock and roll... like Guitar Wolf on mescaline... That might give you some idea.
If you want some raw, visceral rock'n'roll thrills this band comes highly recommended. Just prepare for the need to go and lie down in a darkened room after listening to them.

Collecting members of Blatz, The Hip Priests, TV Crime, The Pathogens, and dozens of other bands, it's Nottingham's newest punk band: Scene Killers!
